Pastor Jamie Varnell has been in student ministry since 1993. Now more than 15 years later, he is still passionate about student ministry and mentoring a new generation of Christian leaders. He has served in several roles during that span, including a term in home missions in St. Louis, MO.
Pastor Jamie is a native Arkansan, but has spent most of his years in ministry in Southern Missouri and North Texas. He has a beautiful wife Rachael, whom he married (and married up) in 1996. They have two children, Kendall (6) and Blaine (3). Rachael now serves on staff at First Assembly as the Children's Pastor. Together they work to transition students from elementary to junior and senior high through early communication and contact between peer groups.
Pastor Jamie is an avid sports fan, as is evident by the three... yes three Fatheads in his office. (the Roger Staubach is pretty stinkin cool) He also loves the outdoors and fruity pebbles.
